Uniloratadine 10 mg - 20 Tablet

Loratadine is a Histamine H1 antagonist; second generation antihistamine and is used to manage symptoms of allergic rhinitis, conjunctivitis, Urticaria and other allergic dermatologic conditions.

Administer without regard to meals.

-Common: Headache , sedated state , drowsiness , fatigue , nervousness, xerostomia ,abdominal pain, vomiting , diarrhea, hyperkinetic muscle activity -Less common:skin rash, gastritis (adults),nausea (adults), hypersensitivity reaction.

-Use with caution for patients with hepatic impairment. -Use with caution for patients with renal impairment. -Incase of over dose be ready to tell or show what was taken, how much and when it happened, and seek immediate medical attention. -Alcohol (Ethyl): CNS Depressants may enhance the CNS depressant effect of Alcohol (Ethyl). -Amantadine: May enhance the anticholinergic effect of Anticholinergic Agents -Amiodarone: May increase the serum concentration of Loratadine. -Anticholinergic Agents: May enhance the adverse/toxic effect of other Anticholinergic Agents -CloZAPine: Anticholinergic Agents may enhance the constipating effect of CloZAPine. -CNS Depressants: May enhance the adverse/toxic effect of other CNS Depressants. -Gastrointestinal Agents (Prokinetic): Anticholinergic Agents may diminish the therapeutic effect of Gastrointestinal Agents (Prokinetic). -Metoclopramide: May enhance the CNS depressant effect of CNS Depressants. -Nitroglycerin: Anticholinergic Agents may decrease the absorption of Nitroglycerin. -Thiazide and Thiazide-Like Diuretics: Anticholinergic Agents may increase the serum concentration of Thiazide and Thiazide-Like Diuretics. -Topiramate: Anticholinergic Agents may enhance the adverse/toxic effect of Topiramate. -Food increases bioavailability and delays peak.

-Loratadine may be used when a second generation antihistamine is needed. The lowest effective dose should be used -The relative infant dose (RID) of loratadine has been calculated to be 1.1% when compared to a maternal dose of 40 mg/day of loratadine .In general, breastfeeding is considered acceptable when the RID is <10%.
