Medical Description
Laxative used in the treatment of constipation and to ease intestinal evacuation for patients suffering from hemorrhoids and anal fissures and used for bowel cleansing prior to colonoscopy.
Indication & Usage
Laxatives are used to treat constipation if lifestyle changes have failed to resolve the constipation or if the person has a medical condition (such as angina) that may be exacerbated by straining.
