Medical Description
Erosive esophagitis healing: PO 20-40 mg once daily for 4-8 wks, maintain on PO 20 mg/day.
GERD: PO 20 mg once a day for 4-8 wks.
Duodenal ulcer caused by Helicobacter pylori: PO 40 mg once a day, with antibiotics combination for 10-14 days.
Indication & Usage
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and other conditions involving excessive stomach acid such as Zollinger-Ellison syndrome. Esomeprazole is also used to promote healing of erosive esophagitis.
Dosage & Administration
Take this medication by mouth with or without food as directed by your doctor. The dosage is based on your age, medical condition, and response to treatment. Do not increase your dose or take this medication more often than directed. Read the Patient Information Leaflet provided by your pharmacist before you start taking this product and each time you get a refill. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist. Tell your doctor if your condition persists or worsens. Ask your doctor how long you should use this medication.
