Medical Description
Topical ointment containing beta-sitosterol, sesame oil and bees wax used in the treatment of burns, wounds, surgical wounds, chronic wounds like bed ulcers, diabetic foot and used for cracked heels.
Indication & Usage
MEBO ointment is indicated for the management of:
Burns (first- and second-degree)
Scalds
Wounds and ulcers
Post-surgical wounds
Skin abrasions and cuts
It promotes moist wound healing, reduces inflammation, relieves pain, and supports epithelial regeneration.

Dosage & Administration
Clean the affected area gently
Apply a thin layer to cover the wound
Apply 2–3 times daily or as directed
Cover with sterile gauze if necessary
Side Effects
Mild burning sensation at application site
Local irritation or redness (rare)
Allergic reaction (very rare)

Contraindications.
Hypersensitivity to β-sitosterol or any component of the ointment
Precautions
For external use only
Avoid contact with eyes
Do not apply to heavily infected wounds unless medically supervised
