Maalox oral suspension in Sachet 5ml Red Fruit flavoring.

Maalox used to relive Heartburn and reflux of stomach acid.

Dosage & Administration
"Usual dose 1 to 2 sachet to be taken when heartburn or reflux of stomach acid occurs. You shouldn't exceed 6 doses / day.
The suspension should be taken as is without diluting.
The duration of treatment is limited to 10 days.
The sachet should be massaged carefully before opening.
Adult and adolescents from 15 years Old."
-Do not use if you have kidney disease; do not use more than the recommended dose for more than 2 weeks.

Drug Interactions
-Alfacalcidol: May increase the serum concentration of Magnesium Salts.
-Allopurinol: Aluminum Hydroxide may decrease the serum concentration of Allopurinol.
-Alpha-Lipoic Acid: Magnesium Salts may decrease the absorption of Alpha-Lipoic Acid. Alpha-Lipoic Acid may decrease the absorption of Magnesium Salts.
-Ascorbic Acid: May increase the absorption of Aluminum Hydroxide. Management: In patients with severe renal dysfunction, consider avoiding this combination. Administering agents at least 2 hours apart may help minimize effects.
-Bisacodyl: Antacids may diminish the therapeutic effect of Bisacodyl. Antacids may cause the delayed-release bisacodyl tablets to release drug prior to reaching the large intestine. Gastric irritation and/or cramps may occur. Management: Antacids should not be used within 1 hour before bisacodyl administration.
-Cefdinir: Antacids may decrease the absorption of Cefdinir.
-Cefuroxime: Antacids may decrease the serum concentration of Cefuroxime.
-Cefpodoxime: Antacids may decrease the serum concentration of Cefpodoxime.
-Corticosteroids (Oral): Antacids may decrease the bioavailability of Corticosteroids (Oral). Management: Consider separating doses by 2 or more hours.
Pregnancy & Lactation
-When dietary changes and lifestyle modifications are insufficient, aluminum hydroxide may be used for the treatment of heartburn or gastroesophageal reflux in pregnant women when used in usual recommended doses . High doses of aluminum containing antacids should be avoided. Magnesium hydroxide may be used for the treatment of heartburn or gastroesophageal reflux in pregnant women when used in usual recommended doses.
-Aluminum hydroxide is considered compatible with breastfeeding when used in usual recommended doses; monitor the breastfeeding infant for adverse effects.
