Antibiotic belongs to Macrolides used in the treatment of pneumonia, bronchiolitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, infections of bacterial pharyngitis, Helicobacter pylori and Pertussis.

Every medicine has got side effects. KLACID 500MG INJECTION to have some side effects which may occur in the early days of the treatment, but gets off after some times. Most common side effects of KLACID 500MG INJECTION include headache, diarrhoea and being sick (vomiting), nausea (feeling sick), loss of appetite, taste change, bloating and indigestion, abdominal pain, insomnia (difficulty sleeping). These side effects are temporary and may resolve over time. However, if these side effects persist reach out to the doctor.​ Besides this, If you experience any sudden wheeziness, tightness in the chest or throat, difficulty in breathing, swelling of the eyelids, face or lips, rash or itching (especially affecting your whole body) STOP TAKING your medicine and go to a doctor immediately.

Klacid 500 MG Injection is generally safe in pregnancy to treat bacterial infections. It is not known to cause any harm to the fetus. However, in early pregnancy, it can increase the risk of major birth defects and therefore should only be used upon your doctor's recommendation.
