Medical Description
This Medicine works on treating of bacterial infections caused by susceptible microorganisms.
Indication & Usage
Mild to moderate urinary tract infection: PO 250 mg q12h.
Complicated UTIs, mild to moderate respiratory tract, bone, joint, skin infections, infectious diarrhea: PO 500 mg q12h.
Severe, complicated infections: PO 750 mg q12h.
Prostatitis: PO 500 mg q12h for 28 days
Uncomplicated bladder infection: PO 100 mg twice a day for 3 days.
Acute sinusitis: PO 500 mg q12h.
Uncomplicated gonorrhea: PO Adults. 250 mg as a single dose.
Corneal ulcer: OPHTHALMIC 2 drops q15min for 6 h, then 2 drops q30min for the remainder of first day, 2 drops q1h on second day, and 2 drops q4h on days 3-14.
Bacterial conjunctivitis: OPHTHALMIC DROPS 1-2 drops q2h for 2 days, then 2 drops q4h for next 5 days.
Otitis externa: OTIC 0.5 mg (5 drops) into affected ear(s) q12h for 7 days.
