Avipect syrup 100 ml

Combination therapy consisting of an expectorant and an antihistamine (Histamine H1 Antagonist) used in the treatment of productive cough associated with allergic lesions of the respiratory tract or with bronchitis and pneumonia.

-Shouldn’t be taken on empty stomach. -Doses should be adjusted according to the patient's activities, because it affects the alertness.

Drowsiness, gastrointestinal upset, urinary retention, dryness of the mouth, hallucination after the administration of high doses, it may increase the intra-ocular pressure for the patients with narrow angle glaucoma.

-Not preferred for the patients with impaired hepatic and renal functions. -Not used for patients suffering from prostatic hypertrophy. -Not used for patients suffering from an allergy to any of its components. -Even the use according to the prescribed doses can affect the patient alertness to an extent that can interfere with the ability to drive or operate machinery, so the doses should be adjusted according to the patient's activities. -Incase of over dose be ready to tell or show what was taken, how much and when it happened, and seek immediate medical attention. -Alcohol: Avipect may potentiate the sedative effect of alcohol. -tranquilizers: Avipect may potentiate it's effect. -Monoamine oxidase inhibitors: Avipect may potentiate it's effect.
